The workshops are taught by professional teachers. Pasa la Voz is aware of the rapid developments in the area of new media. Therefore, our workshops focus on creative use of most modern communication techniques. Digital video and photo camera’s, digital editing systems, sound recorders, professional microphones and computers are all available to the kids and their teachers.
“I loved learning things that I didn’t know yet, like working with super modern photo and video camera’s – Javier Cirillo Morocco Nifla, 15 years old.

The workshops take place in Pasa la Voz´s own building, where classrooms are designed according to the needs of the workshops. Currently, Pasa la Voz receives weekly more then 120 kids from the 12 organizations joined in the Pasa la Voz network. All kids have permission from either the parents or their guardians. Taxi’s, paid by Pasa la Voz, retrieve the kids from the organization and drops them of again after the workshops.
“I liked everything because it’s really beautiful to learn to talk. Thank you, because it’s really important” – Fabiola Algara, 18 years old.
A Pasa la Voz year is devided in three terms, each lasting 3 months. During each term all workshops work around the same theme, such as ´Me and my Neighborhood´, ´Traditions from Cusco´, ´Intercultural´, ´The Environment´, ´Time´, ´Work´ and ´Violence´.
“Thanks for everything you taught me and thanks to all the teachers for everything” – Adelayda, 13 years old.

Pasa la Voz offers workshops for:
External workshops
For kids who cannot participate in workshops at Pasa la Voz, in-house workshops are offered. During these
workshops original and high quality products are made to be sold in the Pasa la Voz kids’ museum. The revenues go directly to the artists.
Also, Pasa la Voz organizes courses for tutors that aim to improve the kids’ school results. The quality of the Peruvian education system leaves much to be desired. The grades of many kids are low, especially in the area of mathematics and comprehensive reading. These kids usually cannot turn to their tutors or organizations since they usually lack sufficient training. Therefore in these courses Pasa la Voz specialists take on this task temporally and tutoring the kids together with the staff. It gives both staff and kids the opportunity to experience modern and alternative education techniques. The aim of this co-operation is for the tutors to independently apply this knowledge.
External courses organized by Pasa la Voz in the past have been creative writing, comprehensive reading, study methods, cooking workshops and sexual education.
